This is an image of an 18" high x 24" wide , abstract landscape painting on wood. Vibrant blues, hay color and pink, lots of movement - and a lot of sagey green. Colors of the southwest. Windy and sunny.
This is an image of an A sunset scene with dark treeline, pink and blue sky, greens and lavenders with zaggy perspective lines across opening in center.

ABSTRACT LANDSCAPE

My work began in abstract landscape in mixed media over 25 years ago and I continue to be mesmerized by the line of the horizon, how things grow and relate to one another in space, light through trees, and the motion and blur that happens in seeing. Recent work is painted in acrylic gouache, oil and acrylic on found paper and wood supports.  Spending part of my year in Northern Maine on Penobscot Bay has been an influence in these works: seeing a schooner appear silently on the crisp line of horizon never ceases to stop me in my tracks.

If work is available for sale, the price is included in the caption. Work can be shipped insured, anywhere in the US and beyond, shipping rates vary. If you would like to make a purchase or see the pieces in my studio in Ann Arbor Michigan, please be in touch!
