As a teaching artist and educator, resting in the question and allowing for others to claim and make use of the silence that follows has profoundly reframed the whole dynamic of the classroom and studio for me. With middleschoolers at the Museum of Fine Arts, teenagers deploying Attendant at Urbano, looking at contemporary art, and building their first installations, training Medical and Dental Faculty in learning the Visual Thinking Strategies method, or rethinking visual description through a 12 year collaboration with a blind painter, best practices have begun to develop clear outlines.
