The unremarkable events within a given space like someone coming to the door or turning the kettle on for tea, generally just happen. I like to devise ways of seeing these quiet occurrences, as a residue that builds over time. Here, the container for these events is both the two rooms of Urbano and everyone that uses them; the span of time for our observations is just under a month. I consider this marking activity as a kind of portraiture, a way of freshly understanding something generally assumed to be known. The events captured include the fleeting kind described above, slower biographical information about Urbano, and denser facts like its volume and square footage.
