On February 19th 2008, I sat, observed and recorded the installation process of 'Spring Selection 2008' at the Drawing Center. With the help of volunteers working with video and audio recordings of the same time and place, I developed a comprehensive numbered list of all repeating elements: events, movement, interaction, smells, sounds. The installation included a posted list, a smaller handout version, and one mark on the walls, floor and ceiling for each recorded event, of which there were thousands.

Visitors were invited to refer to the listed item number to find its corresponding mark on the walls and floor. The mark appears as many times as the event itself occurred. Actions are collective for everyone present.
