              Project Statement
Volunteers observed six fleeting events: instances of laughter, entering, stopping to look, silence, and applause, for several hours during the Swan day interdisciplary collaborative experiment. All collaboration and performance took place at the Middlesex in Central Square, Cambridge. For each observed element, the observers made a tape mark on the window as they noticed it. There were six types of tape - one for every type of event observed. Mike McHugh and Maria Klein are the fine beings who made this project possible. Many thanks to them.
