From the middle of 1999 to the middle of 2001, I focused my investigation of when writing becomes drawing, specifically of a place, to the idea of addressing mail with a drawing of a place, in a manner much resembling writing. I sent out over 100 of these, and the drawings changed into collage and puncture drawings, and stamped with important looking letters 'nothing inside, keep in tact' and similar. It was a great way to expose my work to unlikely audiences.
